Why aren't I sugar free yet?

If you've ever asked yourself the question: Why aren't I sugar free yet? with frustration, this episode is for you. 

In my experience, one of the most common — and most damaging — expectations around going sugar-free is that it should happen instantly, completely, and permanently. 

Spoiler: it doesn't always work that way, and it doesn't have to.

In fact, I challenge the idea that going sugar-free should be instant and effortless — like someone waving a magic wand. (Me, for example!)

Actually, being sugar-free isn't just about how much sugar you eat, it's about how you feel about sugar. 

And because we're all different, there's no single timeline or threshold that defines what sugar-free looks like. For some people, freedom comes from gradually reducing sugar. For others, it means cutting it out completely. And everything in between is valid.

As an example, in this episode I hand over the mic to Maria, a participant in the Freedom From Cravings Formula program, who expresses beautifully how she feels about sugar now.
